Don't Buy This AC Unless You Want Water Damage

I bought this AC less than a month ago, from Lowe's. And ever since then it's been leaking. Profusely. Unless I use the fan setting. We are in a heatwave in NYC right now so I can't do that. And have had to sacrifice my floors (because even with layers of towels, the leakage is so intense my baseboards show signs of water damage now) I followed all troubleshooting necessary per GE's website. But nothing worked, because the issue wasn't on how I installed it- it was on GE's poor manufacturing. When I contacted them to have the AC repaired, they made an appointment for a technician to come out- only to call me the day of the appointment to reschedule for the following day (that's fine, these things happen) but less than an hour late they called again to tell me the appointment had been canceled altogether because apparently they don't service this appliance! (Why not?!) They proceeded to tell me they'd provide me with reimbursement to get a NEW one - minus the tax, which was $40. I am floored by how poorly this was handled. I ended up contacting Lowe's directly and they were far more understanding and helpful. Returning it today for a FULL refund, barring anymore unforeseen issues. Won't be buying another GE appliance until y'all fix yourself.

Small window opening still had to remove the window to put it in but could put window back in after. Quiet mode is pretty quiet I can sleep with it running. Installation was pretty straightforward. Definitely worth the extra $.
