Whirlpool tech support thinks 15 minutes to boil 4 cups of room temp water was acceptable performence on dual front element. My elderly parents purchased from audio video store to support local econemy in Sturgeon Falls at recommendation of store owner... Installed day 2 after which we called regarding terrible performance ... Instead of replacing store sent technician who ran no proper tests... after complaining he returned to see water only boiling after 15 minutes instead of normal 6 minutes . Whirlpool customer service manager said since he reported no problem and new standards for energy effiency this was within specs. If it takes 3 times longer to cook anything how does that save energy? So if your looking for a pretty useless cooktop and terrible customer service buy this unit.

We replaced my GE cook top because Two burners died after years of use. We chose a Whirlpool because of the duel use front burner. Being just the two of us we very seldom use a larger pan to fit that burner and I hated always reaching over it to use the back burners.

I bought this range top a month ago, it is so fast to heat and even heat. It is a change from the old element range, but it is so nice and it looks fantastic.
