Easy-to-Clean Cooktop
Easy-to-Clean Cooktop

Unlike traditional electric and gas cooktops, Induction only heats the pan and the food in it, so the area around the pan stays cooler, allowing you to clean up spills and splatters while you cook.

Faster Boil Times
Faster Boil Times

With induction, heat transfers directly to the cookware bypassing the cooktop surface, making induction incredibly fast.

Consistent temperature with TempLock(TM)
Consistent temperature with TempLock™

Sensors in the cooktop automatically adjust the power level to maintain a consistent temperature the entire time you cook - it's like cruise control for your cooktop.

Had this installed by the retailer a month ago. Burners do not heat evenly even though I bought a new set of pans that are induction ready (Cuisinart Multiclad Pro). Called retailer who told me it was impossible for the coils not to heat evenly. He told me to give it some time to get used to induction. I waited a few weeks and was still finding food was cooking unevenly (one half burning/other half raw). Called retailer who sent a technician to check. Tech took the cooktop apart and found coils were not in the right places. He fixed the coils and now the cooktop doesn't work at all. He said I need a part that's back-ordered with no ETA. So I'm unable to cook indefinitely. Called Frigidaire and they are looking into it??

We purchased our Frigidaire - 30" Induction Cooktop after I dropped a heavy pan on my old cooktop. I'm really enjoying cooking on it. I enjoy the size of the burners, the keep warm ability on the one burner. The size of the burners are great.

Wow. What a great unit. We replaced our existing gas cooktop which was only 3 years old. We can now boil water in 30 seconds rather than 3 minutes with gas and NO GAS SMELL. Quiet, easy to use and added safety for our home. We should have bought this a long time ago.

We can now boil anything so quick it's hard to believe. Poaching eggs in milk is so much easier now. The touch controls are pure genius. We measured the opening of our old electric stove top before ordering our new Frigidaire induction stove top and installed it ourselves. Very easy if you follow the instructions. Also cleaning the stove top is so very easy.

Our new cook top makes our whole kitchen look sleek and clean. But the real reason I love this cook top is that I can cook with the overhead fan on and not worry about blowing the gas flame sideways as I did with our previous gas stove. I can cook without my chest heating up from the flame of our last cook top, or worry about something catching fire near the stove. I know the heat is evenly spaced under the bottom of the pan instead of having to keep turning the pot around to even out the the hot spots that our gas burners created. All this is important for cooking during our hot Hawaiian summers. My husband is the primary cook in the family and I knew he needed some solid reasons to get rid of his beloved gas cook top, which I hated (See above). A huge fire in our outdoor gas grill gave me a reason to ask him to consider an induction cook top which I had been reading about for years. The complete control the cook has over the cooking temperature is the best feature that won him over. I can heat water for coffee in 15 seconds, not even enough time to turn around and back. I can start very high (P) to get a pan hot, then immediately turn to very low to continue the best temperature for the food. (I remember waiting longer for the pasta water to boil than it took to actually cook the pasta! Not now.) The manual for the Frigidaire cook top has a chart which I copied and hung on the wall. It is very helpful in translating the exact numbers of this cook top into the vague words found on other stove dials. I don't heat my coffee water in the microwave any more. I just keep a sauce pan on the stove to heat my water and remind me that the beautiful black countertop under the pan is an actual stove, not a decoration! It doesn't hurt to know that these cook tops are energy saving too. Which is why I didn't feel guilty leaving a pot of stew cooking for hours. I'm not much for keeping things clean, but I did enjoy wiping up spills, shining up the black sleek glass top even up to the very edge of my pot of stew bubbling on the stove. One of the drawbacks of induction cooking is the requirement that the cookware is magnetic. You'd be surprised at the beautiful pots I found at the Salvation Army. I already had iron skillets, but I was used to frying with non-stick cookware. I found a great non-stick frying pan at a discount store (Ross) for hardly anything. I even had an iron wok hiding in my cabinet that I didn't even know about. It's easy to find induction cookware in sets, but I didn't want a whole set. Iron containing pots are pretty easy to come by. Just get used to carrying a magnet with you when you're out browsing around. I have one suggestion for new users who had coils or burner supports on their previous stoves. Hang on to the pot you are stirring or your pot will slide off the cooking surface. But don't worry, nothing will happen. It will just surprise you!Yes, I can say I do like the cook top A LOT. I will be cooking much more frequently than I did when that awful gas cook top was here.
