Talked to Whirlpool, and everyone was completely, hopelessly puzzled. Another one is on the way, but I'll have to foot the bill for installation all over again and continue eating out of the microwave for a while I guess.

Great little cooktop. Works as it should, was easy to install, heats up fast, overall very satisfied. Owner's manual recommended special heavy duty burner add on if used a lot for canning, which this will be. Bummer to find out that it has been discontinued and there is no upgraded replacement. That is why only 4 stars.

I bought this product on a spur of the moment basis;my cooktop quit on me and I needed something fast.Walked in my local home improvement store and asked for cooktops they had this one on sale.I am very glad I purchased this product.

The cooktop has two burners that are bent .Whirlpools quality control is lacking. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator that had a bad compressor.when delivered.
