The fan will not suck in any steam. It is far too weak, not sure why it's even being sold. We had to remove that fan and install my old hood fan. I really just needed a new range hood because the old one was outdated and missing some parts. I don't have any other complaints about the design but I would not recommend this product unless you have no problem with installing a stronger fan yourself.

We are extremely happy with this hood. It was easy to install and has the quietest fan we've ever heard. The fan power is a little weak so if you want a high powered hood, this is not for you. However if you're looking for something stylish, quiet and priced well, this is a winner. We would purchase this item again.
