First there is no backlight for the buttons you push to control. Even in DAYLIGHT you have to strain to see which buttons you are pushing...........but at night, it is IMPOSSIBLE without getting a flashlight. This is TERRIBLE. I did not pick this microwave out, it was put into my new house by my builder. HORRIBLE feature. Another BAD feature is that when you cook something on a lesser power than 100%. It cooks for "X" number of seconds on HIGH, and then cooks for "X" more seconds on no power and keeps doing this cycle for the duration of the cooking. This is atrotious. It should cook on 50% power during the ENTIRE cook cycle if you select 50%. AGAIN a horrible feature. You hear your food cooking and frying for so many seconds and then you don't hear it doing a thing for the next so many seconds. TERRIBLE. We will be yanking this microwave out and throwing it away soon, and getting one that is decent like we had at our other house. It had backlighted buttons, and when you put it on 50% power......it cooked the entire cook cycle on 50% and not so many seconds at 100% and then so many seconds at -0-

I have had a new home where I had this microwave oven installed. Although it was working okay for first few months, the door started to have issues with not being able to open smoothly. In terms of noise, it still makes a good amount of sound and I generally expect it be a lot quieter. Although, I am able to use this oven now, I will not recommend this for any of my friends in the future. Probably, I will try to upgrade this in next few years

GE Microwave provides all our needs. Love the 30 second feature and the defrost feature. The only negative is the black shows all finger prints and needs to be wiped clean often. My previous microwave was a GE and have no complaints. I am very happy I purchased this model.
