microwave isn't smart enough to have the unit operate while the timer is running. so i can't use the timer for something cooking on stove top and cook something in microwave at the same time. way too much time put into preprogramming how to cook fresh prawns or cook nachos and not enough time spent on simple functionality. i'm scared to see how long the unit actually lasts.

it has only been up in the wall for about 2 weeks, so far so good. it does not have a specific designated clock button, so it is very difficult to adjust and set the time. when the stop button is pushed, the display will go off, then you have to push it again to light it back up. when you start to defrost anything, the first 30-45 seconds it will shut off and you must restart it by pressing the start button. my previous samsung only lasted a bit over a year, but it had a beautiful attractive round type handle, this handle is flat and not feel good in the hand. i'm hoping this one lasts longer than the other one did.

i was told to buy the same brand if you wanted your handles to match. bought all samsung. turns out handles on new fridge and range match but not this microwave. the microwave sits directly above the stove so the different handles really stand out to me. may not be a problem for many but bothers me. this microwave is very loud which is concerning. my final complaint is probably a minor one to most but we found it very annoying. the one feature we would use daily is not available on this model. miss the feature of a quick start (press a number from 1 to 5 and have the microwave run for that number of minutes) instead of pressing 2,0,0,start. may not seem like a big deal but after years of having that feature on numerous other microwaves, we miss the convenience.

i just bought this microwave 2 weeks ago and when i used the exhaust fan i can press the button and it cycles to 4,3,2,1 but he fan speed stays on 4. i requested service and the technician that came to the house couldn't fix it. in the end he said the fan speed is designed to be like that. does anyone have the same experience? is it really supposed to be like that.
