I am sad to have my microwave die after only 4 yrs. I liked it fine when it ran, but this past week it stopped heating food. The light comes on, the turntable runs, but no luck with getting the food hot. Guess I need to purchase a new one. I looked at the troubleshooting section, but if the part is at least $60, and I pay someone to come out, now I have half the cost of a new one invested. I've always been a loyal fan of Whirlpool and now I'm bummed.

Love this microwave! Looks great in my newly remodeled kitchen. The size is perfect as well. It is much quieter than our last microwave. We have bought Whirlpool appliances for many years and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Light is in the wrong place

I just installed our new over the range microwave. There were two problems. 1. Light light is located in the rear of the microwave. It lights up the back two burners on the stove, but two front burners are dark. Why in tar nations would you put a light way in back of the unit. Our old unit had it in the middle so you see all burners which makes sense. 2. The light was so bad I put a LED light in place of the one it came with. The lighting is much better, but still dark on the front burners. Also after installing the LED I couldn't shut off the light. It goes from high to medium to low. There is no off. It stays on all the time. Other then that it is a good unit and it means just getting use to it.
