I have had this range for 2 weeks. Replacement for an old Maytag downdraft range. Had the downdraft professionally installed. So far it works great. The oven is so much larger than I expected and I really like the slide out rack. I will get used to the smooth top burners since they are a first for me. is a first for me. The range was on sale so I jumped at the bargain.

Very unhappy with my purchase of this product!

I recently remodeled our kitchen and purchased all Kitchen Aid products thinking Kitchen Aid was a top rated product. I am extremely unhappy with my slide in down draft range. I love to cook and this range has been a huge disappointment. It takes way to long to pre-heat regardless of what temperature I am cooking at. I called an had one of their technicians take a look at it thinking their must be something wrong. Range may look good, but that's it. If you like cooking/baking, this is not the product for you. Very, very disappointing.

I kind of like my new range. Looks nice. Love the roller shelf in oven. Don’t really like the digital on top front of range. Always touching it and have to cancel it out. Hard to clean because of that. Also the back vent gets really hot on the left side. As it slides into my peninsula I’m fearful people at counter could get burned. Always warning anyone sitting there. Otherwise it seems to heat evenly and bake and cook well. Also the downdraft is quite noisy. But it really sucks the odors and steam away from the cook top.

Easy to clean. Installed perfectly. Boils hot water in a flash. Cons takes longer than expected to heat.

Not Happy

I am not happy with this product. The biggest issue is the “Aqualift Technology”. It does not work (the online video is misleading). I have had my product for 1 month. I used the Aqualift “Self -Clean” for a minimal spill of olive oil and I had to scrub (with the scrubber that came with the product ) not wipe. It makes me not want to use the oven. Unfortunately this technology gives new meaning to the term “Self Clean”. Could it be possible that I bought a “lemon”? Other suggestions: the dials for the burners should be the same on both sides. On this stove, the left knob directs the left back burner. The left knob on the right directs the right front burner. When there is a power outage, it would be better if the clock would blink. (It comes back on using a random time and does not blink).
