I'm unable to do my traditional low and slow cooking with this range. I lowest tempature is 225 degrees. I'm also missing a broiling pan, don't they come with your oven?

burners and oven don't light consistently

We were excited about this new range, love the look and simplicity, and we're happy with the way it cooks, but have had a really difficult time getting the burners and oven to light reliably. I've had tons of experience with many gas stoves over the years including professional-type ranges - I've never ever seen a stove or oven that's actually hard to get lit and stay lit. This is a real problem. The BOSCH repair person said it is because the thermocouple overrides the lit burner until you try multiple times to light it and suggested holding the lighters down 15-20 seconds to get it to light (I've been trying up to 10 seconds in the 4+ months since delivery and it still doesn't reliably light stay lit). He said this is the intended design and nothing is wrong. This seems absurd, this model is a huge problem - don't buy it!

Thanksgiving down the drain

We are hosting a large get together at our home for Thanksgiving Our KitchenAid range stopped working after five years. After much research I purchased this Bosch range on October 9th from Best Buy. Soon after getting it installed, we found that the oven did not work. We called Bush's service department and were given the name of a local service company that would come out to take care of it right away. Quickly discovered that they gave us the wrong service company and directed us to another one. The second service company told us they were booked up and wouldn't be able to get out to us until November 2nd. This wasn't much concern for us because Thanksgiving was still three weeks away and we felt assured the problem would be resolved long before Thanksgiving. the service man worked on the range for over 2 hours and determined that the thermostat and the dial to the oven needed to be replaced. He told us they would order the parts and hopefully be able to get back within two weeks to fix it. Finally, we got a call that they'd be out on November 22nd to replace the parts. On the 22nd the service man completely dismantled the range in my kitchen and after three hours determined that it couldn't be repaired and probably would have to be replaced. That was three days before Thanksgiving. now one day before Thanksgiving I'm being told that Bosch wants the service company to come out again and try another round of repairing. Now we're backed up to December 1st. At this stage I can only hope that Bosch we'll get this thing fixed before we have the same problem at Christmas.

The range I wanted was on indefinite backorder and not being sold anymore. This was the only option available and I was hesitant to update, but I am certainly glad I did! It is simple and elegant. Easy to clean and care. Is it missing bells and whistles like many of the options out there? Yes. But I don't miss them. Bottom line, I bought this to cook at a higher quality. And I am pleased with the results.

Professional looking and very practical for the average home owner, The cook top is porcelain and an awsome feature. Other brand names use stainless tops which scratches easily!
