I bought this based on the good reviews on the GE Web site and because of the 2 personal cups. My main problem is that I wish the manual came with some basic guidelines or instructions on how to use the different settings. I'm not very experienced in the kitchen and so far, I've been wasting/ruining a lot of food trying to get the chopping/mixing/blending right. I've finally gotten a decent slushy drink figured out, but beyond that, I'm still lost! I liked the idea of just having the simple knob with 5 settings, but since I don't know how to use them, I would probably have been better off buying a blender with a bunch of different keys like Mix, Blend, Ice Crush, etc. Also, the manual says to press the power button to turn the blender on, but for mine, it's on when you plug it in and off when you unplug it. Overall, this is a pretty expensive experiment for me. I'm hoping I'll figure out how to use it to do the things I want to do. GE could do better at offering some guidelines on how to use the 5 speeds. "Turn the knob to the desired speed" isn't much guidance for people like me who have no idea what speed they need to chop carrots or make salsa or make a smoothie, or make an icy cocktail. Maybe after I use it a little longer, I can post a more positive experience.

This is an amazing blender. The power on it is just as good as brands that cost much much more. Plus the cap on the lid gives you the ability to vent hot liquids without worrying about then going all over the kitchen. And the smoothie cups - they’re great! Perfect for throwing in all you need for a healthy on the go drink. (They’re also great for making your own soft serve ice cream.) Highly recommend.

Engine is strong but not too noisy. Quality and build seems good and that will withstand intensive use during a long time. The metallic finish also fits a modern kitchen and looks very classy.Love the personal cups to make a quick on the go smoothie.

I use this blender to make smoothies. The personal cup works great and the blender works well on frozen fruit. It is also pretty quiet for a blender. I would recommend it:)
