Bear in mind that everyone can/will see things differently and I do respect differing opinions. As stated in the title, I do not like this appliance. Compared to the product I replaced to purchase this, there is no real ground for comparison. Salient points: 1. I noticed that there are three top heating elements, but only one (rear) ever turns on - and yes, I tried every setting. Called customer care who said they would refer to product engineering. They called back a week later and told me that as long as the oven gets hot, no need for worry. Did they answer my question - no. 2. Auto preheat takes forever - almost not worth having the feature. (Could it perhaps be that only one top heating element functions?) 3. In order to toast an english muffin, have to set oven on 6 slice - and it still does not brown well. 4. Even using the broil function, cannot get a hot dogs to brown. 5. Bake and roast have the same problem of not getting food hot enough after prescribed time. I hate to leave this review, as I was very excited when I received the item. However, I think it's time to go back to my previous brand - at least it did everything it said it would. Very sorry, GE.

This toaster oven has a lot of features. We have had it for a few months. When turning it on sometimes it makes a high pitched squeal. We turn it off, turn it back on and seems to work fine. Takes a bit to figure out all of the settings.

You have to make sure your tray position and temperature settings is correct! I never had a toaster oven that needed to preheat for broil function! There was no instruction on which tray height is used for what needs to be done, overall it's a good oven!
