Dryer Stopped Working Two Weeks After Install

Our dryer was delivered on June 16th and by July 2nd, would no longer run. Repairman arrived today to say the heating element was collapsed and unattached. This should not happen in a brand new appliance. We now have to wait to weeks for a new heating element to be installed and feel we should be given a new dryer instead of wait for a repair.

The dryer is only OK. I would not buy it again, except it is the only one, in any brand, that fits under my counter. The âheavy dutyâ cycle must be used for even small, lightweight loads, so it just isnât very efficient.
