Very pleased with capacity and drying options, but within a few months of use, it started rattling and humming whenever it was tumbling. No longer a quiet machine! So sad.

The dryer looks great; however, operating it is difficult. Once you realize you need to print the manual to understand it, you find that the manual instructions are not very clear. You could eliminate half the options and it would be just as functional and more user friendly. Also, one of the features I really wanted was a cycle signal. The signal is so low (at maximum volume) that unless you are in the laundry room you cannot hear it. I work in an office across the hall from the laundry room and can't hear it.

I bought this a month ago and use it almost daily. There are 4 adults in the house that use it regularly. I have always purchased Maytag washers and dryers as my mother always said they were the best and I tend to agree. The only issue I have with this dryer is that there are times when we have to run the dryer a couple cylcles to get the clothes dry. We have tried different settings as my husband checked the manual and it said to turn the “steam” setting off which we did but the clothes still aren’t always as dry as I would like them and so I gave it a 3 for that reason.
