Disappointed; no dry sensor

My husband and I purchased this machine from Smith’s in Georgia. We were unaware that this machine did not have a dryer sensor. We were also unaware that Smiths has a no return policy. This was not verbally explained to us. We made the purchase hastily, as we were told it could be delivered next day I’d we hurried down to purchase that evening. After delivery, I contacted Smith’s, and they told me they couldn’t help me. No returns. I’ve contacted Speed Queen, and I was told they couldn’t help me either. I would like to purchase the more expensive machine, that has a dryer sensor, but apparently I’m out of luck. So my recommendation would be do your due diligence and be sure the machine has the features that you need. It’s difficult to know how long to dry my clothes. Often times they’re still wet when I go to fold them. Other times they’ve been overly dried. I would just really love the opportunity to return this machine and purchase a different one that has the features I need. The other thing of importance that I would note, is that an upgraded dryer vent is recommended by the Sppeed Queen customer service center. No one told us about this either. I spent $250 having my dryer vent upgraded and cleaned when I had concerns about the long dry time. So I would also recommend research the type of dryer vent needed to support this machine.
