We loved our old Maytag washer and dryer set we bought in 2010, but when the washer finally died from a faulty drain pump in April, we upgraded to this dryer and 4.8 cuft washer pair. First couple weeks were great, but the dryer started flashing a sensor error code and smelled like it was burning. I am now on hold with Maytag's special "safety team" for about 45 minutes. Really hoping this gets resolved as I really want to like it.

Our old dryer was fine, but I hated the thought of mismatched washer and dryer because it’s so visible in our house. I’m happy we made the investment in this steam dryer. I love the 15.5" pedestals with drawers. I wish the salesman or the first set of installers had mentioned that the dryer needs a water hose and special connector in order to make steam, and that the 10" pedestals have no drawers. The third set of installers finally got things right. As soon as I forget the annoyance of waiting around three separate times, I know I will love this large, smart dryer even more!

This new dryer is too loud! My old Maytag was 12 yrs old & very quiet! This dryer is so loud I can hear it upstairs like I was in the room!! Unacceptable
