Purchased this together with the matching washing machine. Turned it on and it sounded like there was a helicopter in my laundry room. Clothes not drying in a timely manner plus clothes getting snagged-look inside and yes, the finish on the drum is deteriorating. Two service calls later, it’s finally replaced. Much quieter but how long will this last? Junk, junk, junk.

Great features, easy to work, dry’s comforters completely and best of all it’s so quiet I have to make sure it’s running. Seems to dry in have the normal time. Love my new Maytag Dryer.. My 18 year old Maytag washer is plugging along also. I tried another brand when my dryer unexpectedly quit and will never buy another brand again..
