This In-The-Wall Dryer Vent Periscope is designed to fit between the studs inside the wall of your laundry room to carry the exhaust air into the attic or floor space. It features one male snap-lock fitting and one female snap-lock collar and mounting strap; (2) clamps are also included. This product is a universal accessory item compatible with several brands; check to see if your model number is compatible. I bought this through Lowes thinking what a great way to extend my dryer vent from the basement floor to the outside behind the wall. The only problem besides the shody craftsmanship (warped from end to end like a bad 2 by 4) was the fact that it was supposed to have 2 pieces that telescope into two other pieces for extending in the middle of the two end pieces but comes with 3 pieces that are the same width X Depth making it impossible to periscope all but the two ends together. Others cut the excess out and taped it all up. I refuse to pay so much just to have to modify it. Their tech support was useless but did agree it seemed like deceptive advertising. Most you will get out of this kit is maybe 30 inches. Too bad, this could have been a life saver if the pieces were just like the instructions said they should be. Now I am going to use regular 4 inch round exposed.
