Strange noises and balancing issue

I grew up in Schenectady N.Y. the original place of GE, my father worked in their large machinery. I visited him and we always purchase GE appliances. Unfortunately this will probably be the last one I buy! From the first use I was shocked at the high pitch sound coming from the washer then when it came to the spin cycle the whole machine shook. It was level and the only things in it was two tee shirts one pair of socks and a pair of shorts they were equally distributed. I alway felt GE was a good name but not anymore. I will be going back to the seller to see if they will come get it without me paying for it and refund my money. Very disappointed.

Absolutely just love my new washer and dryer! My family does also, they were the skeptical at first. They are so easy to use. I do miss the being able to put fabric softener in, I had to go out and buy a Downey ball for fabric softener. Looks great in my cubby. Made the space for my freezer and washer& dryer…. Looks great!

The washer cleans well but is very noisy. The dryer does a good job but seems to take long to dry completely. I often have to run another cycle for them.

The washer is shockingly loud. It sounds worse than our last one right before it failed. The older version was so quiet. Really disappointing. I have a lot of trouble believing that it is truly energy star with this level of noise.
