there are two my family, me and my hsb.. I don't really do a lot of laundry. I wash two queen size sheets with pillow cases and small personnal items of mine. Using bulky setting the sheets come out like they're strangled and tied together The sheet setting isn't much different. I really wouldn't recommend this washer to anyone.

If you want to constantly monitor your wash this is the machine for you! The auto-sensing feature simply does not work. 95% of the time there is way too little water, and clothes do not get clean. The other 5% of the time there is way too much water - like when you want to wash greasy or paint covered work clothes separately. At that point the stupid thing fills all the way up. So, you can't do small loads without wasting water. You can't do normal loads without waiting for it to fill and then adding GALLONS of extra water. This is not simply one bad machine. I got a replacement a year later, and it is just as bad after it started tearing my clothes (oh yeah, there's that too!). It is simply terrible. Finally, I've have to say that being required to have a unique "Nickname" to review on this site is absolutely stupid. Like I'm ever coming back to Whirlpool, or like I care if someone else in the whole country has the same name as me.

I purchased this to replace my previous 17 year old unit. I decided on this brand mainly because of the quality and it is the same manufacturer of my previous washing machine. I prefer the more 'manual' type operations as I have had problems with the more electronic units. The only feature that I don't like is the one small push button to start the washer as it seems a bit on the cheap side. It also makes some odd noises as it changes cycles (which is explained in the manual). But these are not enough to be a deal breaker at the price I paid.
