The cycle is shorter but the clothes are so much cleaner. I love how the lid does not lock and water fills the whole washer. And if it needs worked on they remove the panel on front of washer instead of pulling it out and working on the backside

I love my Speed Queen washer! It washes everything clean on cold water. I can wash my quilts. It spin dries my clothes so shorter time in dryer. And the BEST -- I can decide when it is time to clean the washer -- not the machine (and I do clean the washer)!
