We have not had it for a full week yet. So I dont know how good the product will perform. Hopefully it will perform good. I had a big one bought it 44 years ago used and still running but was getting a little uncomfortable with its age considering how expensive food is now.

Great product, gets cold fast. Love that it has a unique lock on it because I have a young inquisitive son. The lock is a 5 sided shaft lock, so you can't easily open it without the key provided and they provide 2 keys. Lots of room in the freezer, it will easily hold a few months of food, OR half a cow OR 2 large pigs.

Just a chest freezer. Lid is heavy, of course, but the lid slams down, rather than coming down more gracefully.
