I don't really understand the negative reviews. I've owned my Frigidaire for over 13 years, and never had a problem with metallic-tasting water or ice. As for the reviewers who stated the filter kept popping out, did they read the directions? There are two plastic caps covering the prongs in the back which need to be removed before the filter can snap into place.

I have used these for years and my ice and water never taste clean... whatâs happening? Always a metallic or odd taste to ice cubes. Any help?
