After replacing the filter there was a noticeable difference in the taste of the water. It was so much more fresh and even tasted cleaner. Maybe that was a mental thing, about tasting cleaner, but nonetheless my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. As far as we were concerned the Frigidaire filter did it's job.
