Great filter but I wish there was information on the packaging of how to recycle the old filter instead of just "discard" seems so wasteful to throw this entire thing away - is there not a way to up-cycle these Frigidaire?

I went through 2 in a month and I live alone I haven't replaced a filter in 2yrs I just buy ice from the store it's cheaper that replacing these horrible filters every 2 weeks
