At first I thought I could just use this to get ice quick. But now I realize this will be amazing to have around for parties for sodas and cocktails. My kids love getting ice from this for their water. It comes with a nice little scoop that they use that gives the perfect amount of ice. I personally drink ice coffee every morning and this gives me amazing fresh, clean ice for that. I like to chew on ice on hot days and this actually gives really good tasting ice and perfect size to chew on. My husband got this cleaned and set up quickly. It does take up a bit of counter space but that’s expected really. It’s a little weird that when it’s on as soon as you take a scoop of ice it immediately starts making more. But I guess in the end it’s nice because it gives you a full bucket. It’s a little on the loud side but not too bad really. I do wish it had come with a water filter. It would be easier to fill than filling from my filtered fridge.

My family absolutely loves this type of ice so we were so excited to try this ice maker. We use it at our summer home because the ice maker can't keep up with as much as we use. It is heavy but jut fine because we keep it in the same place. You could take it with you other places though since it doesn't have to use a water line. It isn't real quiet but no difference than the ice maker we have at our summer house now. We just make sure it is full before we go to bed so we don't hear it at night. It was very easy to assemble. Overall a great product and perfect for our needs.

This ice maker is a dream come true! Living in Texas, cold drinks are a necessity and now we don't have to go get them from a fast food chain. We entertain in our home weekly and everyone raves about having the "good" ice. It makes every drink better and my kids just get bowls of it to crunch. The machine is nice looking and easy to set up and clean. It does make a humming noise constantly... but not loud or obnoxious. I especially love that it includes a plastic piece for setting the scooper and keeping the surface under it from getting wet. It holds the perfect amount of ice for less than 10 people and takes a while to replenish. I solve this by filling up freezer bags with extra if we are hosting a crowd.

The GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker 2.0 works really well. It is quieter than I expected and sits on the countertop. It is easy to use and starts making ice quickly. It comes with an app to control or schedule the ice maker. My family loves the nugget ice that it makes.
