We decided to replace our 14-year-old upright freezer before it dies and selected an Amana upright freezer to replace it. So far we are very pleased. Although it has more capacity than our old freezer, it is smaller and more compact. It is quieter, runs less often, and is much more energy efficient. We are very pleased!

This freezer runs very quietly and cools very quickly. It is frost free and does not require changes in cooling ranges. It has nice shelves plenty of space for food. The only problem I had was that the electrical cord was too short to reach the outlet, since outlets in basements are placed higher than in regular living spaces.
