I purchased this refrigerator as it was at or the top ratings. Rated best by COnsumer reports and other public reports available. The last refrigerator I had was a Samsung which lasted only 9 years before it died on me.

We just love GE. My only complaint is that the ice maker makes very slow. The freezer is a the bottom and I think takes more time to ice maker on the top

We’ve had this refrigerator for 8 months, if I could return it, I would. The ice maker can’t keep up with 2 adults and if we install a second ice maker, the freezer would have less space for food. We bought a counter ice maker that we use. The dispenser always drips after you use it, with a Slate color, the water spots are highly visible. The freezer door is super hard to open, if you have someone over 75, consider something else. Door space is too small, one side (left) has minimal storage due to the ice maker being in that door.
