I'm a huge fan of the look of the french door, bottom drawer refrigerators. Every side by side I've ever owned has stopped cooling around a year (or two at most) after purchasing (not specifically Whirlpool... many brands), and the normal top freezer refrigerators are ok for minimal use, if you don't do a lot of heavy shopping. I love my Whirlpool so far, but the only issue I truly have is the fact that I shop every two weeks and get quite a bit of stuff. It gets to be a special form of art to get everything to fit at times. It does take a little thought and storage preparation to work it out, but once you get a routine down, it's not so bad. I purchased a few separate ice bins and freezer bags, and am able to get a fairly organized storage system going. With the excellent quality and aesthetics this freezer brings, along with the Whirlpool brand backing it, you really can't go wrong and should be pleased with your purchase.

The refrigerator works great, but the freezer design causes food to get stuck. Scratches really easily. Do not even light duty magnets, for the surface scratches really easily.
