Great looks & layout, but the compressor is loud.

Love the looks and the layout, but the compressor runs a lot, and that would be fine with me if it didn't make such a loud hum that travels through the house. I guess someone "could" get used to it over time, but at the price and the technology we have today, GE can do much better! My 15 year old refrigerator was close to silent and this is noticeably louder. Otherwise I loved it, so I had GE come out and look at it and they can do nothing saying this is the way are today due to the low power consumption, lack of insulation to keep them lighter, and new refrigerants they need to use. What a lame excuse for the lack of innovation or simple sound insulation. I'd seriously consider another brand if you have an open house. It will likely be great if you have a small isolated kitchen that buffers the humming.

This unit came with my new home and it was defective with a refrigeration leak. Not what I expect from the GE brand. Very disappointed and I won't be purchasing any GE appliances for any of my future homes.

I've only had it one day so I don't think I can give a full review yet. I like the looks and the feel of solid doors. I don't like the rolling shelf. Would prefer a regular shelf. I do like the drop-down tray.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! I have a GE Profile Series stove and GE Profile microwave as well and I would not buy any other brand. Love them all!
