Great design but shuts off with power surges

I really like the design of this refrigerator, It's sleek and clean looking and I really like that it doesn't have a water dispenser. Our old refrigerator had a water dispenser and it was disgusting--there's just no way to wash them and so I'd rather use a filtered pitcher that I can wash. The only problem with this refrigerator is that we've lost power two times and each time the refrigerator does not turn back on. We have to wait for power to be restored, unplug the refrigerator and wait several minutes before plugging it back in. Our electric system is in perfect working order so I don't know why this would happen. Plus we never had this problem with our old refrigerator. We've been really lucky that we've been home when the power went out but this is really a huge problem if we have to worry about all our food rotting if we go out of town and the power goes out. I googled this problem and can't seem to find a solution. We put the refrigerator on a power strip with a surge protector and we're hoping this will fix it. If this doesn't work and we have to empty our fridge every time we travel, I will be very dissatisfied.

I purchased this refrigerator for my newly built home in July. Since then it has surpassed my expectations. It’s spacious, stays cold and adds a nice look to my kitchen. I would buy Samsung again!
