The AC performed exactly as advertised. We were looking for something very quiet and this fits the bill. The remote does a great job regulating the temperature and is intuitive. It also looks good in the window and was easy to install.

earlier this year as it started to get hot out, i decided to get a new window ac unit to replace our old floor-standing model with the big plastic tube. my main complaint with old unit was every time it turned on the compressor was so loud it woke me up multiple times every night. i started looking for the quietest unit, and also one that i could put in the window instead of taking floor space in my tiny apartment. i chose this based off of positive wirecutter/cnet reviews. what i like about this unit: -it has a very clean/modern look -install was straightforward -very quiet and cools my room quickly a few things to note: - i have not attempted to use any of the smart features in the unit/connect it to any devices, so i can't comment on that. -when i first got this, no water came out of this unit. it's been really humid lately though, and after opening the drain, we have 3+ gallons of water dripping out of it every day. i have a bucket underneath to keep this from damaging my porch and would recommend the same to anyone else who has this located over an area they don't want constantly soaked with water. - my electric bill went from 144 kwh to 1238 kwh compared to same month last year. there are a number of factors at play here, including climate change, record heat, and my personal theory that los angeles water/power dept is scamming us, but i can't help but think this unit is in some way a factor. at the end of the day i do like the unit and would recommend. mail concern is utility spike, which who knows, may be a gross error on the part of our dwp billing. i ordered smart outlets to moniter the energy usage of this thing and will update with results after a month or so. i

The controls drive me nuts every day. If I need to change the settings, I HAVE TO TURN THE ROOM LIGHTS ON!! Because the settings light up, but the words to tell you which setting is which do NOT light up, so I have no way to tell which setting I'm choosing. The remote control is even worse - you can't read it or set it without a light. So every time I want to change it I have to completely wake up, turn on a light and set it. On top of that, it has the horrible beep - so you have to wake your spouse every time you make a change. If this machine didn't cool well and pretty quietly, I would have thrown it out the window by now.
