I bought this cooktop 10 months ago. Do not buy this cooktop. I constantly get error messages. Pressing the power button is suppose to clear message but that doesn't work. The main circuit breaker has to be turned off to clear message. Very frustrating when in the middle of cooking. It is also very difficult to control temperature. The nob or touch control gives same problem. Also Samsung service is terrible. You have to wait two days from the time you call Samsung till authorized service repair calls you back and then you have to wait several days before they can come. They also will not guarantee morning or afternoon appts so you have to waste an entire day waiting for service person.
Love Induction Cooking-But beware of touch controls

I had a Samsung Induction Stove in my prior home. I loved it so much, I decided to replace my existing Stovetop with this Samsung Model. Control of temperatures are exceptional and pans come up to temperature very quickly. Having no knobs to clean was a requirement in my replacement unit. The magnetic knob on this model works well and is easily removed to clean spatters from cooking. The touch controls work quite well. HOWEVER, in my old model with physical controls, I was able to lay down a thin silicone baking mat on the stove between the unit and my pan while cooking. The stove still functioned correctly and the mat collected the spatters and was more easily cleaned than the glass top. What I didn't realize was that with the touch controls (or perhaps its the automatic spill detection), placing a silicone mat anywhere on the stovetop, causes control of the burner temperature to go random, whether using the magnetic knob or the touch control. The setting would randomly change from say 1 to 7 to 4 to 15 while turning the knob in the same direction. This was true even if the control area was NOT covered by the mat I still love the stovetop, but my expectations were to be able to use the silicone mat for easy clean up. Perhaps this could be corrected in future models? If so, I'd be interested.
