I bought this KitchenAid Convection Microwave in November and spent over $1400 with installation. The microwave has the most uneven heating I have ever experienced. Food is frozen on one side and crisp on the other! I have a qualified tech looking at the unit as I am writing this and he contacted KitchenAid and they told him that there is nothing wrong with the unit and said it is customer error. The tech sees my problem but KitchenAid is still blaming it on user error. I’ve owned a number of microwaves in my life which we under $500 and have never had anything like this. Save your money and buy a cheaee microwave which works better! Very Unhappy!

I cannot even begin to express our frustration at buying this product. We have been in a new home for less than six months and have been unable to use the oven because the door will not shut. We had to hold our leg up to the microwave to heat up coffee, never got the chance to use the oven as it is intended. Called for service going on two months now and still have a NON functioning 2200 microwave. The technician keeps calling out sick. This is the third time they have called out 'sick' - the first time - so that's actually four appointments we called for service and although we gave the correct address to Kitchen Aide and the service, the tech went to the wrong address and refused to come to the right address - approximately ten minutes from where he/she was. Kitchen Aide is HORRIBLE and we are still as of July 5th, still waiting to use the oven because of all the sick techs and the lousy service from Kitchen Aide.
