my first of these microwaves stopped working after about 2.5 years. it simply stopped turning on. i bought another one because i need it to fit into a particular space and it just seemed easier to get the same thing. on the new one, the door broke after a few days, such that the door release button does not pop open the door. instead, you have to push the button with one hand and pry it open with the other hand. inconvenient when you're usually holding a plate of food to stick in there. its still under warranty, but there are no local options for repair or home service according to the website. the option for mail-in service is glitchy on the website and i was unable to submit a service request after trying in both safari and chrome.

The microwave itself is good. Samsung needs to focus on its packaging however. I recommend the purchase of this microwave but just don't expect the packaging to save it because Samsung provides no means to effectively communicate to them about issues.

i guess i should have read more reviews. it's a very nice product, but not reliable. it has a 1 year warranty and what do you know - the unit totally died 23 days after the warranty expired! it has only been lightly used and to die at just over 1 year? unbelievable. i contacted samsung and they said to schedule a service appt which i would have to pay for. that would be silly because service and parts would cost more than the $160 microwave! i guess samsung is not customer focused, has no flexibility in product failure policy and poor product quality to boot. time to buy a different brand.

i usually would go to walmart or target and get me a $45 microwave but i decided to step it up and get this one .. especcially with all the great features. but after a month the door wont pop open. after breaking several nails trying to open it i decided to register the product and see what i can do.

just bought a new home with the builder collaborating with samsung to provide appliances; the microwave functions do not work (defrost, etc). tried to chat with samsung sent to links that done open and sick of it.
