This product replaced my old washer/dryer but only after a few months the lid keeps clicking and won’t shut unless I manually keep it pushed down in the beginning. Since the lid locks once the washer starts, I can’t open it to see if the water is high enough or if there is enough soap. It’s also louder than my old one. The dryer works well!

I do not recommend this model. I washed 4 small bath towels and a full size duvet cover in one load. I did not overfill the drum. After the wash cycle completed, I was not able to remove the duvet cover because it got stuck under the agitator. Since it was still under warranty, I called a repair technician who came out. He had to remove the agitator in order to loosen the fabric that was stuck underneath. He said it happens all the time and that this model should only be filled to half capacity. i was lucky because he’s seen some that have stripped the agitator and then it would need to be replaced. I have never had this problem with my other GE washers so I’m thinking it’s the model that can’t handle the load. Apparently you need a certain type of drill bit to remove the nut securing the agitator and since I don’t have that, I’ll have to call him if this happens again. The salesman said he never heard of this happening but I tend to believe the repair technician over the salesman.

Worst purchase of washer I have ever made. I have very limited space, so this was the best choice, especially to get a larger capacity. However, no matter how careful I am to put items in the washer and distribute them evenly, the washer bangs and clunks during the spin cycle and stops. There is no way to restart this machine where it left off, because it has to be stopped completely in order to open the cover. You either have to start over or choose Drain and Spin. Just dreadful, and I have had several washing machines over my 70 years. This is by far the WORSE.

Purchased for a rental unit. User instructions very simple. I called the help line for clarifications on which detergent can be used since it does not have a detergent cup, operator was extremely helpful. Even walked me thru how to fill washer with water then add detergent with the pause machine option.
