All the strange washer sounds, were normal, after research, the dryer scraping sound, was however a piece of metal on the barrel that was rubbing, easily addressed with proper tech.

This washer/dryer combo is fantastic. Has all the latest features. Fit just right in my laundry room. Very quiet and efficient. I am extremely happy that I chose a GE product.
