We have been short of freezer space for so long we decided to purchase an upright frost-free freezer for our garage. The Amana freezer we bought is just beautiful and so roomy! The white color makes it look so clean! So compared to everything else in my garage, it's the most beautiful thing in there!!

We replaced a manual defrosting upright freezer with this self-defrosting upright. Having the extra freezer space is only a money saver if the cost of operation (electrical rating) doesn't offset all the savings from being able to load up on sale items throughout the year, as well as being able keep fish and fruit that is abundant seasonally. This frost free is rated to use less KWhours per year than my old manual defrost upright, and is surprisingly more quiet. With Amana's reliability record we expect low to no repair costs. That coupled with the sale price and free delivery sold us on the new freezer.

We have a small chest freezer but it was impossible to find anything and once I started storing breastmilk we had to find something that worked better for our frozen food storage. Had several options to choose from at the store but ultimately chose this because the interior storage configuration was the best and the overall size wasn't too large. Very easy to see what you have. The large bin at the bottom was the feature that sold us as almost every other option had nothing at the bottom. Would absolutely purchase again. My family of 5 is getting a ton of use out of this product.

When we moved into our new home in 1979, we wanted the best of everything. An Amana upright freezer was purchased and delivered and used for 37-1/2 years!!! Well, in mid-December 2016, this freezer ceased and I hoped I could find one the exactly the same. When I called the dealer asking that, I was told Amana still made an upright freezer and I rushed right over to see for myself. The new model is so similar but far, far better, mainly because it is Frost Free and the slatted shelving as opposed to the old solid shelves allows air to better circulate! Love that it is so much quieter, too. Thank you, Amana, for your improvements and for still giving me the same sufficient cubic feet! I called my dealer and ordered an additional shelf. This is a great option which will give me more storage space.
